Agricultural chemicals such as herbicides should always be used in accordance with the product label. Information on chemicals and their permitted uses can be found through the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), which is the Australian Government authority responsible for the independent assessment and registration of pesticides and veterinary medicines. The APVMA keeps a record of all registered pesticides in Australia, and their approved uses and also reviews older chemicals to make sure that they continue to meet contemporary high standards. You can use the PUBCRIS search function on the APVMA website to search for chemicals registered for the control of different pests and to get access copies of most chemical labels (search using plant species or chemical active ingredient name).
